DANTE TANZI 1. Etakate! It is an electronic invention for four voices, realized by a collection of sounds produced by the synthesis 'noise-drop' and additive synthesis. These sounds have been used in several sessions of sequencing, and the live performances have been recorded in order to produce the material for the final editing audio. 2. Between Beauty and Pain. The piece was composed after hearing that a protest in Italy against Green Hill (a breeding facility for dogs used in animal experimentation) spontaneously turned into a rescue, when dozens of activists rescued more than 40 dogs who would have been used in pharmaceutical and cosmetics testing.

人 は音の流れから時間を感じる。しかしそれは時計の時間とは違う。人は社会を成り立たせるための共通時間を必要とし、その厳格な基準となるべく時計を生み出 した。だが一人ひとりの身体が感じる主観的時間は伸縮自在で、ときによって長かったり短かかったりする。しかし人にとってはそれがリアルな感覚であり、時 計の時間の方があくまで仮の時間なのだ。音はその主観的時間に強く作用する。音楽は音を組み立てることで時間を組織化する。そして音楽には一人ひとりの異 なる主観的時間をシンクロさせる力がある。この音楽時間は強烈な共感覚を引き起こし、人は音に酔う。だから世界中どんな民族にも音楽はあるのだ。 私にとって音を組み立てること(composition)は、それにどんな音を使おうと、音楽的音だろうが非音楽的音だろうが、楽曲構造があろうがなかろうが、すべて音楽的行為に他ならない。
