Note biografiche

Dopo essersi laureato in Filosofia, Dante Tanzi ha studiato composizione, informatica musicale e si è diplomato in musica elettronica al conservatorio di Como. Dal 1985 al 2009 ha lavorato presso il L.I.M. (Laboratorio di Informatica Musicale) dell’Università di Milano. Nel 2009 ha seguito il corso annuale di interpretazione acusmatica organizzato presso il Festival FUTURA (Crest, Drôme, Francia). Sue composizioni sono state eseguite a Roma (Colloquio di Informatica Musicale - 1988); Milano (Musica Nel Nostro Tempo - 1988); Zurigo (Euromicro - 1988); Genova (Music and Artificial Intelligence -1988); Mosca (Italia 2000 - 1988); Lugano (Computer Music Concert - 1991); Milano (Colloquio di Informatica Musicale - 1993); Collective Jukebox (dal 2000 al 2004); Montreal (ÉuCuE - 2001); Como (Elettrosensi - 2004); Parigi (Festival LICENCES - varie edizioni); Huddersfield (ICMC - 2011); Flix (Nit Elettro Sonora 2013); Crest (Festival FUTURA - varie edizioni); Lille (SIME - 2015); Belfast (Sonorities - 2015); Vitoria-Gasteiz (Bernaola Festival - 2015) e New York (NYCEMF - 2015). Ha pubblicato saggi su CTheory, Leonardo Music Journal, Leonardo, Cogito, Crossings, De Musica, Organised Sound e Contemporary Music Review. Dal 2012 interpreta opere di musica acusmatica (sia di repertorio che prime esecuzioni) sull'acusmonium SATOR (Centro San Fedele, Milano) e sull’acusmonium mobile AUDIOR.

Biographical notes

After majoring in Philosophy, Dante Tanzi went on to study composition, musical informatics and graduated in electronic music at the Conservatory of Como. From 1985 to 2009 he worked at L.I.M., the Musical Informatics Laboratory of the University of Milan. In 2009 he attended a course of acousmatic interpretation held in the frame of Festival FUTURA (Crest, Drôme, France). His compositions have been performed in Rome (Colloquium on Musical Informatics - 1988); Milan (Musica Nel Nostro Tempo - 1988); Zurich (Euromicro - 1988); Genova (Music and Artificial Intelligence - 1988); Moscow (Italia 2000 - 1988); Lugano (Computer Music Concert - 1991); Milan (Colloquium on Musical Informatics - 1993); Collective JukeBox (from 2000 to 2004); Montreal (ÉuCuE - 2001), Como (Elettrosensi - 2004); Paris (Festival LICENCES - various editions); Huddersfield (ICMC 2011); Flix (Nit Elettro Sonora 2013); Crest (Festival FUTURA - various editions); Lille (SIME - 2015); Belfast (Sonorities - 2015); Vitoria-Gasteiz (Bernaola Festival - 2015) and New York (NYCEMF - 2015). He published essays on CTheory, Leonardo Music Journal, Leonardo, Cogito, Crossings, De Musica, Organised Sound and Contemporary Music Review. Since 2012 he has been performing works of acousmatic music (both repertory and premieres) on the acousmonium SATOR (Centro San Fedele, Milan, Italy) and on the acousmonium mobile AUDIOR.
